Gallantry Awards: रायपुर, 15 अगस्त 2025 – स्वतंत्रता दिवस के अवसर पर राष्ट्रपति द्वारा छत्तीसगढ़ पुलिस के उन जांबाज सिपाहियों को वीरता पदक से सम्मानित किया जा रहा है, जिन्होंने नक्सल मोर्चे पर अदम्य साहस और बलिदान का परिचय दिया।

सुकमा जिले में 07 मई 2023 को थाना भेड़ी क्षेत्र के ग्राम डोरासेपुंग में पुलिस–नक्सली मुठभेड़ में 3 माओवादी मारे गए और हथियार बरामद हुए। इस बहादुरी के लिए अतिरिक्त पुलिस अधीक्षक सुनील शर्मा, उप निरीक्षक संदीप कुमार और आरक्षक मडकम पाणे को पदक मिलेगा। वहीं, 12 अगस्त 2020 को थाना चिंतलनार के ग्राम पुटुमपाड़–मेकलरजुड़ में 4 माओवादियों को ढेर करने पर आरक्षक मडकम हुस्मा, मडकम हुगा, वास्सु हुगा और सहायक आरक्षक रोशन गुट्टा को सम्मानित किया जाएगा। 25 फरवरी 2023 को थाना अरनपुर क्षेत्र में शहीद हुए सजनी रामूराम नाग, आरक्षक कुंगमा माडवी और आरक्षक वांगो भीमा को मरणोपरांत वीरता पदक प्रदान किया जाएगा।
दंतेवाड़ा जिले में 20 अप्रैल 2021 को थाना अरनपुर क्षेत्र में मुठभेड़ के दौरान 1 माओवादी मारे जाने पर प्रधान आरक्षक सूरज मरकाम और आरक्षक माडवी सन्नू को यह सम्मान मिलेगा। वहीं, 13 जनवरी 2021 को टेटेकटेंगु–माजुम में मुठभेड़ में 1 माओवादी को मार गिराने पर सीसी कोरौ सिंह और आरक्षक पुसुले देवायण को वीरता पदक से नवाज़ा जाएगा।
ये सभी वीर सपूत कठिन जंगल, ऊंची पहाड़ियों और गोलियों की बारिश के बीच डटे रहे। इनका साहस और समर्पण न केवल छत्तीसगढ़, बल्कि पूरे देश के लिए गर्व और प्रेरणा का स्रोत है।
Raipur, August 15, 2025 – On the occasion of Independence Day, the President will honor the brave personnel of the Chhattisgarh Police with the Gallantry Medal for displaying exceptional courage and sacrifice on the Naxal front.
In Sukma district, on May 7, 2023, during a police–Naxal encounter in Dorasepung village under Bheji police station, three Maoists were killed and weapons were recovered. For this act of bravery, Additional Superintendent of Police Sunil Sharma, Sub-Inspector Sandeep Kumar, and Constable Madkam Pane will receive the medal. Similarly, on August 12, 2020, in Putumpad–Meklarjood village under Chintalnar police station, four Maoists were neutralized. Constables Madkam Husma, Madkam Huga, Vassu Huga, and Assistant Constable Roshan Gutta will be honored for this operation. On February 25, 2023, Sajni Ramuram Nag, Constable Kungma Madvi, and Constable Vango Bhima, who laid down their lives during an attack near Singaram Road in Aranpur, will be posthumously awarded the Gallantry Medal.
In Dantewada district, on April 20, 2021, during an encounter in Nilavaya under Aranpur police station, one Maoist was killed. Head Constable Suraj Markam and Constable Madvi Sannu will be honored for their courage. Likewise, on January 13, 2021, during an encounter in Tetekatengu–Majum, one Maoist was eliminated. C.C. Korou Singh and Constable Pusule Devayan will be conferred with the Gallantry Medal.
These brave sons of the soil stood firm amid dense forests, steep hills, and heavy gunfire. Their valor and dedication are a source of pride and inspiration not only for Chhattisgarh but for the entire nation.
